When the multinational pharmaceutical company decided to renovate their Helsinki headquarters they had three goals in mind; introducing a new office culture, implementing a brand new workspace concept and refining the look and quality of the spaces.

The theme chosen for the renewal was brainstorming reminding about the power and joy of innovating together. At the core of the interior design was adaptability and flexibility of the spaces.

The desired more relaxed interaction in the office is encouraged by multiuse space design and the choice of furniture with details like games. The heart of the office is a large multifunctioning “coffice” that brings people together. Along coffee lounges where employees can work and meet colleagues around drinks and share “silent knowledge” it provides ideal surroundings for team meetings and tasks which require privacy.

The final design and 'look & feel' follow the guidelines of the company´s brand book but with a strong Finnish twist, such as real birch log dividers, giving the office a distinctive look and sense of place. 

The process was conducted in close cooperation with Pfizer's international steering group.
